Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Foredge Technology ("Foredge", "we", "us") is a manufacturer of ICT basic network equipment — servers, switches, wireless and optical networking products — headquartered in Shenzhen, China, with branches and partners serving customers in more than 100 countries. This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through this website.

2. What we collect

Alongside the information you type into a form, we record limited technical context about each submission so that we can route your enquiry correctly and follow it up: the page you submitted from, the site that referred you, your browser and device type (user agent), your language, and any campaign (UTM) parameters in the page address. We do not store your raw IP address.

This website has no user accounts and does not ask you to register. The personal data we ask you to provide is what you choose to type into an enquiry form (Contact, OEM / ODM, or Partner Programme):

• Name (first and last name)
• Email address and, optionally, phone number
• Company, country and job title (optional fields)
• The content of your message, including any personal data you include in it

3. How your submission is processed

When you submit an enquiry form, the content is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our lead database, which is hosted for us by Supabase in Singapore. Access to that database is limited to authorised Foredge staff and, where relevant, the Foredge branch or partner best placed to answer you.

A temporary copy of your submission is kept in your browser's local storage until the database confirms that it has been received; it is removed automatically as soon as that confirmation arrives.

4. Why we use your data and on what basis

We use enquiry data for one purpose: to respond to you. Concretely, to answer your question, route your request to the nearest Foredge office or distribution partner, prepare a quotation, and follow up on the business relationship you initiated.

For business enquiries the legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to potential customers (and, where the GDPR or similar laws apply, steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract). We process your data for these purposes only after you tick the consent box on the form, and you may withdraw that consent at any time.

5. Cookies, local storage and analytics

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and loads no third-party analytics or advertising scripts. We use a small first-party analytics system to understand how the website is used in aggregate, plus the two on-device features described below.

The analytics system records the page you view, the site that referred you, any campaign parameters in the page address, your browser and device type, your language and time zone, and a daily rotating pseudonymous identifier derived from your IP address and browser. It does not store your IP address, does not use cookies or browser storage, does not create a persistent profile, and is not used for advertising. The data is stored in our Supabase database hosted in Singapore, kept in raw form for up to 365 days and afterwards only as aggregate statistics. You can block the analytics script with any content blocker, and we honour the Do Not Track browser setting.

• The product comparison tool remembers your selection in your browser's local storage so the list survives a page refresh.
• The lead form keeps a temporary copy of your submission in your browser's local storage until our lead database confirms receipt, then removes it; if the connection fails, the browser retries automatically.

6. Sharing and international transfers

We do not sell or rent personal data. Enquiry data is shared only with the Foredge branch or authorised partner best placed to answer you, and with service providers that host our website, forms, analytics and lead database under contract. Our lead database and our first-party analytics are hosted by Supabase, which acts as our contracted processor and stores the data in Singapore. Because Foredge and its partners operate worldwide, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own; where the GDPR, the UK GDPR or similar laws apply, those transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses (SCCs) where required.

7. Retention and security

We keep enquiry data for up to 24 months from our last contact with you, unless tax, trade-compliance or other applicable law requires us to keep it longer; after that period we delete or anonymise it. Submissions that are clearly spam or invalid are deleted within 30 days.

We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including transport encryption, access limited to staff who need it, and periodic review of stored submissions.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can ask us for access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction or objection to processing, data portability, and withdrawal of consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. To exercise any right, email garyfeng@foredgetech.com; we will verify your request and respond within the statutory period.

9. Children

This is a business-to-business website and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site and our processing evolve; the revision date below always reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
