Challenge

Expanding departments, self-service kiosks and ward devices kept moving information points, while weak-current rooms and intranet security were hard to manage.

Solution

Split the hospital into internal and external networks, each with S6700-series 100G stacked cores and Ethernet all-optical access to the edge.

Enabled terminal auto-registration with IP+MAC binding and visual IP address management, maintained through Apollo cloud.

Results

• Worry-free port and uplink expansion: 1G-10G uplinks upgrade by swapping optics, not rewiring.
• Seamless terminal onboarding with visual IP management across both networks.
