Challenge
The cable-network operator's shift to Internet+broadcasting media required a cloud platform backbone with high bandwidth for HD video cloud, cloud gaming and VR services.
Solution
Direct-connected datacenter core switches to MAN secondary-core nodes, shortening the subscriber path to cloud services.
Deployed high-density 100G cores with N+1 redundancy, hot patching and active-active datacenter support, with full DC features (lossless DCB, VXLAN, TRILL).
