Project Background

The Bangkok Police Comprehensive Command Center requires a modern, resilient, and high-performance network infrastructure to support its mission-critical operations. The increasing reliance on real-time data analytics, video surveillance (CCTV), IoT sensors, and instant communication necessitates a network that is not only fast but also highly available and secure. The integration of a powerful AI server, the DEEPSEEK AI Server-671B, is central to this initiative, enabling advanced functions like predictive policing, real-time video analytics for threat detection, facial recognition, and intelligent traffic management. This project aims to design a future-proof network backbone to support these advanced capabilities and ensure seamless coordination for public safety.

Requirement Identification

High Availability & Redundancy: Zero tolerance for network downtime. The system must have redundant paths for all critical links (ISP, core-to-aggregation, aggregation-to-access).High Bandwidth & Low Latency: Support for bandwidth-intensive applications, especially the transfer of high-resolution video feeds to the AI server for processing and the return of analytics results with minimal delay.

Security: A robust security posture to protect sensitive law enforcement data and infrastructure from cyber threats. Segmentation of different data types (e.g., video, voice, operational data) is crucial.

Scalability: The architecture must be able to scale to accommodate an increasing number of cameras, sensors, and users without a complete redesign.

Centralized Management & Monitoring: Simplified management of the entire network fabric for efficient troubleshooting and maintenance.

AI Integration: Dedicated, high-speed connectivity for the DEEPSEEK AI Server-671B to the network core to ensure it can process data from all connected endpoints effectively.

Entire Networking Solution Design

Topological Diagram Overview

The designed network follows a modern, collapsed core design (Core/Aggregation layer combined) with redundant access switches.

Internet Edge: Dual ISP links (ISP-1 and ISP-2) provide redundant internet connectivity.

Core Layer: Two Foredge S6700-24TF-2QF switches form the highly available core of the network. They are connected via a VXLAN-M-LAG (Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation Group), which provides active-active forwarding and eliminates spanning-tree blocks, ensuring optimal bandwidth utilization and sub-second convergence upon a link or device failure.

AI Server Connectivity: The DEEPSEEK AI Server-671B is directly connected with dual 10/25GbE links to the core switches, ensuring it has the highest possible bandwidth and lowest latency path to all network resources.

Aggregation Layer: Two Foredge S6700-24GX-4TF-2QF switches aggregate traffic from the access layer. They are also connected via VXLAN-M-LAG to each other and to the core switches, creating a resilient fabric.

Access Layer: Multiple stacks of Foredge N5302AXGSH switches connect end devices such as:

  • IP Cameras & Surveillance Systems
  • Police workstations and servers
  • VoIP phones and wireless access points
  • IoT sensors and access control systems

Wireless Coverage: High-density, secure Wi-Fi 6/6E Access Points will be connected to the N5302AXGSH switches to provide comprehensive wireless coverage throughout the command center for mobile devices and guests.
